Hi everyone! Fishing has been picking up on the Columbia River for Spring Chinook the last couple of days! With high water and unfavorable conditions so far this season, fishing has been a little tough this year thus far. With water levels dropping and warmer water temps starting to prevail, conditions for catching fish in good numbers will be a guarantee! Fishing on the Cowlitz River for Winter Steelhead has been phenomenal for the past few weeks and should remain good through April. Spring Chinook are also starting to show up in the catch rate on the Cowlitz as well! The North Fork of the Lewis River and the Willamette River will be picking up soon as well, it should be great fishing by the last week in April till the middle of June for Spring Chinook. Dates are starting to fill up for these salmon so if you want a good date make sure not to wait too long and book your trip. Thanks for visiting NW Columbia Fishing Adventures! We had an amazing first Salmon adventure.. My wife and I both pulled in 2 really nice Chinooks.. We haven't spent much time in big water as we normally lake fish, but was super comfortable in the 26ft sled, and with Casey Kelly at the controls.. Casey Kelly found room for two of us, last minute and we went out on the Columbia out of the Lewis and rocked them today. Limited the boat.
